Fracton Incubation is Back for Ethereum Builders!
Hi Ethereum Builders,
We’re excited to share some news with you today. Fracton Ventures, a leading incubator in Japan, is relaunching its flagship program, Fracton Incubation, in December 2024.
Concept
This year, our program will focus on the concept of Decentralization. Remember the diagram we shared before? With recent developments in Layer 2 and Layer 3 solutions, like parallel EVMs and new scaling techniques, it’s easy to overlook decentralization. But let’s take a step back and re-emphasize it—one of Ethereum’s core values comes from decentralization.
Through our three-month program, we’ll mentor and educate selected project founders to develop better decentralized protocols or new, decentralized approaches to protocol design.
All upcoming programs by Fracton Ventures will prioritize Ethereum Alignment—a term recently defined by the Ethereum community and Vitalik Buterin.

Our Motivation
Previously, our focus was on general protocol incubation. We’ve incubated over 20 projects (some of which leaned more toward product development). Now, we’re raising the Ethereum flag, reaffirming our commitment to the community’s future. Our mission is to continue incubating Ethereum-aligned protocols, collaborating with top protocols and DAOs, and leveraging Layer 2/3 resources to support Ethereum’s public goods.
We’re looking for underrated ideas and unique approaches that you’re passionate about. We’re here as your long-term supporters.
We also aim to bridge the gap between hackathons and early funding rounds. This unique positioning makes us stand out in the market as an incubator.

Fracton Ventures is a crypto incubator dedicated to supporting Ethereum-aligned protocols. Since 2021, we have incubated over 20 projects, including LOCKON and Yay!, raising over $40M collectively. We’ve also co-hosted in-person Ethereum meetups with Ethereum Japan and Bankless Japan since 2023. Additionally, our team supported the organization of ETHTokyo alongside Ethereum Japan.
